I had anterior approach January 9th 2012 and I am not recovering as fast as I had hoped. Could I have had nerve damage?
I am still limping and my doctor gave me a cortisone shot last week. When can I expect relief? Needless to say, I am very upset!!!

I had an anterior approach THR, April 4 2011. Almost one year. I believe the cuntaneus nerve, has been affected. Causing sensation, and IT Band problems. Really bad. And bad low back pain..What can I do about the damaged nerve? Now that the surgery has been done. Am i stuck with this pain. Because, it is just as bad as the pain, before the THR? I have had no relief, at all. Leg length, of, 1/2 inch. A pelvis, out of alignment. So many things…Coulod you help me out please with what to do. Especially the nerve damage. Thankyou, Linda

One of my friend has just gone through a hip replacement surgery and after few weeks she was feeling much better. After seeing her in so much of pain, I realized that its really difficult to live with the pain.
