Radiological Technologist

We are seeking an experienced, full-time radiological technologist to work at our busy Orthopaedic practice. Candidates should be detail-oriented, be able work at a fast pace, passionate about patient care, and dedicated to helping our team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform radiological procedures using proper positioning and exposure factors

  • Move and assist patients to and from mobility devices as necessary using safe and proper patient transfer techniques

  • Provide the highest quality patient care

  • Minimize radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations

  • Run daily DEXA quality assurance

  • Perform DEXA scans as scheduled

  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements

  • Maintain ARRT and Virginia Department of Health Radiologic Technologist License

  • Perform ancillary tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Orthopedic, Dexa and/or C-Arm experience a plus

  • Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player

  • Proficient computer (EHR) and typing abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to lift, push and pull equipment, and assist patients as needed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Degree: Associate of Applied Science degree with a concentration in radiography

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification

  • Current license with the Virginia Board of Medicine

  • Prior orthopedic experience helpful, but not required
