Educating Clinicians About Adhesive Capsulitis

Adhesive capsulitis is a very common diagnosis that we see here at Arthritis & Sports. Often is referred to as frozen shoulder, this painful inflammatory process causes pain, stiffness, and loss of normal shoulder range of motion. If left untreated, the condition tends to get worse.

While we don’t fully understand what causes frozen shoulder, we are getting closer. Our very own Monica Ricci, DMSc, MPAM, PA-C, recently had an article published in the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants where she provides an extensive review of adhesive capsulitis.

While geared towards clinicians, this article does provide valuable insight to anyone suffering from this all-too-common condition. Read this free article here, or continue reading below!
