Orthopaedic Clinic Supervisor


Arthritis & Sports, one of Northern Virginia’s largest providers of expert orthopaedic and therapeutic care, is currently seeking a full-time, experienced Clinic Coordinator to join our team! This position will oversee our orthopaedic clinic staff which consists of medical assistants, scribes, and x-ray technicians. This offers a unique opportunity for a professional who wants to bring a high level of commitment to the quality and growth of our practice.




  • Hire and train clinic staff for specific needs, ensuring adequate staffing at all times

  • Oversee clinic staff work and staffing hours, including overseeing and delegating quarterly job rotations and directing daily assignments as needed

  • Develop staff through coaching, mentoring, training, and guiding to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all clinic duties and patient interactions

  • Address and resolve patient and staff complaints, concerns, or confrontations as they arise

  • Oversee staff performance with patients and chart documentation, and conduct regular performance reviews

  • Oversee and ensure efficient turnover of exam rooms

  • Answer billing questions when there is a discrepancy with x-ray or DME

  • Order and manage DME and office medical supplies within the clinic

  • Monitor office medical supply levels, and replace as needed

  • Complete onboarding of new staff

  • Prepare and hold weekly meetings

  • Schedule DME and other training sessions as needed

  • Monitor Paychex’s Time and Labor

  • Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and OSHA regulations

  • Work with other practice team leads and supervisors, including participating in committees and meetings

  • Perform additional x-ray specific tasks as needed:

  • Perform MA duties as part of the clinic team

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
