Here's what the Women Giving Back Program is all about:
"Women Giving Back was founded in June, 2007, by a core group of building industry sales and marketing professionals. The goal is to supplement the great work HomeAid NoVA is doing in building shelters by helping the transitionally homeless women and children get on their feet with clothes to help them enter the workplace.
These women can shop for professional work-oriented clothing and accessories without charge. Volunteers collect the clothing and open WGB – The Store on the second Saturday of each month from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. WGB, The Store is held in its new location at 20 Export Drive, Sterling, VA.
Women from 100 shelters and programs are invited to shop each month. Their smiles are all the thanks you will need.
WGB has distributed over 50,000 items of clothing to women from over 100 shelters in Northern Virginia. We literally have to restock each month, and need continual donations of good quality clothing."

Self Defense Class with Bryan Patterson
On February 22nd and 23rd patient Bryan Patterson, Instructor at Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy, donated his time to teach our employees valuable self-defense techniques.
The class covered topics such as mental preparation to defend yourself if attacked (Anticipation, Assessment and Action!), “common sense” safety tips to be more aware of your own surroundings, defense moves to protect yourself, and how to help prevent a break-in.
Thank you Bryan for donating your time to teach us valuable techniques that hopefully we will never have to use, but may one day save our lives. Anticipation, Assessment, and Action!
