Total Joint Replacements
Total Joint Replacement, also known as Arthroplasty, is performed to alleviate pain, stiffness, disability, and decreased range of motion caused by damaged cartilage in the joints. Total Joint Replacement surgery is only performed after more conservative treatment options have failed to alleviate these adverse symptoms. After surgery, patients enjoy pain free function of the joint, ultimately improving their quality of life.

Hip
As a ball-and-socket joint, the hip lies at the top of the thigh bone and fits into a rounded socket in your pelvis, cushioned by protective cartilage. As one of the largest joints, the hip acts to support and stabilize the whole body. Injury, fracture or damaged to the hip or surrounding cartilage can make daily activities such as standing, sitting or walking painful.

Shoulder
The shoulder is the most mobile and flexible joint in the body, making it more susceptible to injury. The shoulder is a "ball-and-socket" joint, but unlike the hip, the shoulder is less stable. The shoulder joint is surrounded by a delicate arrangement of muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves working together. Shoulder injuries can occur from one traumatic event, overuse or underuse. Injuries most often involve the muscles, ligaments, and tendons, not the bones of the shoulder, resulting in limited movement, pain, weakness, and stiffness.

Foot & Ankle
Each foot and ankle problem is unique and requires initialized treatment plans. Most foot and ankle problems are caused by overuse and improper footwear, but can also be caused by arthritis and birth defects. Composed of 26 bones, 33 joints, more than 100 muscles, tendons, ligaments, and an intricate network of blood vessels, nerves, skin and soft tissue, the foot provides support and stability to the whole body. Common foot problems include foot and ankle arthritis, diabetic foot problems, heel pain, bunions, and hammertoes.
