Our busy, award winning multi-specialty practice is located in Sterling, Virginia and currently has 3 experienced orthopaedic surgeons, 1 physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, 4 physician assistants, 1 nurse practitioner, and 9 physical therapists. Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon


We are seeking an exceptional, full-time Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon to join our specialized team of orthopaedic surgeons.

The successful candidate for this position will be board certified/board eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and will have completed an orthopaedic hand surgery fellowship.

Specific Responsibilities Include:


  • Hospital Call Rotation: 1:10 to 1:12
  • Hospital rounds and evaluation of post-op patients
  • Out-patient exam, evaluation, treatment and follow-up
  • Provide patient and family education
  • Coordinate treatment with our physician assistants and physical therapists

Candidate Requirements:


  • Degree Required: MD/DO
  • Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Board Certification: BE/BC
  • Experience Required: 0-2 years
  • Specialty: Orthopedics- Hand Surgery

Physical Therapist


We are looking for a full-time and/or part-time Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive outpatient care. Applicant must be willing to work evening shifts Monday through Thursday.

Specific Responsibilities Include:


  • Carry out hands-on treatment
  • Implement and document patient status
  • Perform patient evaluations
  • Communicate on a regular basis with the referring physician on the status, progress, and needs of the patient
  • Assist in developing and implementing new programs/techniques to enhance physical therapy services

Candidate Requirements:


  • Degree Required: PT
  • Candidates must have a current license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Board Certification: BE/BC
  • Experience Required: 0-2 years

Yoga Instructor


We are seeking a Yoga Instructor who is responsible for teaching quality yoga classes in accordance with the center and industry standards. He/She works with center management and staff to create a positive, encouraging and motivating environment. He/She supports the center, group exercise program, instructors and members while following employee policies and procedures.

Required Skills:


Arthritis & Sports requires a passionate, positive, focused, driven and experienced Yoga Instructor

Candidate Must Have:


  • 200+ RYT hours and a minimum of 5 years of documented yoga teaching experience.
  • Specialized training to work with arthritis patients and older adult populations required.
  • Sales experience strongly desirable. Ideal candidate will be comfortable with advocating a healthy lifestyle along with selling yoga programs, classes and individual sessions.
  • Current CPR/AED certification from am nationally recognized provider is required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and email communication in Windows format.
  • Ability to initiate and create friendly relationships with members, guests and staff.
  • Ability to remain flexible in order to adapt to changing work environments.
  • Ability to study and apply new information.
  • Ability to take initiative, ownership and prioritize tasks.
  • Exhibit a professional and polite appearance at all times.

Personal Trainer


We are seeking Personal Trainers who are responsible for providing personalized attention and professional fitness instruction and programming that significantly contributes to each member's health and fitness goals. Instructors design fitness programs, perform fitness testing and assist in equipment maintenance and cleanliness. The Fitness Instructor provides exceptional services to all customers; members, guests and staff, whether by phone or in person and upholds the clubs operating standards in a professional manner at all times.

Required Skills:


Arthritis & Sports requires a passionate, positive, health and fitness focused and driven Personal Trainers.

Candidate Must Have:


  • A Bachelor's degree in Exercise related field is preferred, or proof of enrollment in a fitness related degree program (exercise science, exercise physiology, kinesiology desirable)
  • Experience and demonstrated knowledge in fitness instruction (minimum of 3 years of experience)
  • Sales experience strongly desirable. Ideal candidate will be comfortable with advocating a healthy lifestyle along with selling fitness programs, classes and training sessions.
  • Specialized training to work with arthritis patients and older adult populations required
  • Certification in an approved national fitness certifications including ACSM, NASM, NSCA strongly preferred. Will consider AFAA or ACE in conjunction with a BS degree in Exercise
  • Personal, outgoing and motivating personality: Ability to work well with people.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to remain flexible in order to adapt to changing work environments
  • Ability to study and apply new information.
  • Exhibit a professional and polite appearance and demeanor
